Origins
In 2001 a couple of French-speaking specialist doctors, charmed by Ghana, decided to invest in establishing their clinic in association with a friend, a Ghanaian surgeon. After many years of humanitarian work in Africa (Tanzania, Guinea, Benin, Ivory Coast), and some experience in some of the best hospitals in Paris, they settled in Accra, Ghana, and opened Aneeja Clinic in a rented villa not far from Achimota in Tantra Hill. Sooner than anticipated, the small clinic in the rented villa needed to meet the growing demands of the local population, and as a result the owners bought their own piece of land and expanded the clinic. In 2005 the clinic opened with an operating theatre theater and fifteen beds, a pediatric, gynecology and dental departments. Due to the warm hospitality, quality of service and reputation, the patient numbers increased, and the clinic expanded into a hospital.
Evolution
In the year 2010, Aneeja clinic expanded into Aneeja Hospital, equipped with two fully operational surgery theatres, more than five different medical departments, a capacity of 25 beds, and a professional team speaking different languages to welcome patients not only from the region, but the world! The surprisingly positive results in the development of the hospital, made us confident for the future. We are planning and preparing for the next five years by increasing our bed capacity, renovating, extending our services to online consultation.
